Association of Northwest Weavers Guilds Conference

There were display booths entered by about 20 of the 40+ guilds who are members of ANWG. The theme was "Crossing Borders, Crossing Threads."
This one was entered by the Desert Sage guild from Okanagan Falls, BC
The Greater Vancouver guild had a felt map showing where their members originated.



Nanoose, not far from us on Vancouver Island, won the award for the Best Booth by a Guild With Less Than 20 Members.
Tacoma won for Best Interpretation of Conference Theme.



Whidbey was awarded Best of Show. It was my favourite too.
Napkins by Betty Bell of Milton, WA. This won the People's Choice award in the "Open" show.

A transparency by Jolene Northup of Terrebonne, OR. This was one of my favourites.
This lovely scarf by Marjy Fiddler of Shoreline, WA won the GCW award for Technical Excellence and an Honorable Mention for Best Craftsmanship.



Then there were the fashion show garments. Pretty much everything I photographed won an award but I didn't record names.
This jacket was Best in Show.



Most entries were jackets or coats.
An unusual top.



This one won an award for felting.
And finally there was a display by the conference instructors. These are just a small sample.
