Fashion Show June 15th - the Conference wind-up.

It was an informal fashion show with the garments being modeled by the makers. As I took part I only got to see the items that came after me. However there was a gathering after the fashion show where I was able to catch a few of the entrants for pictures.

Claudia Ring called this amazing garment the Canada Coat. Made last year for Canada 150 it had things representing all parts of the country.

Lee Valentine's kimono style jacket was judged "Best in Show"

Laura Fry - conference co-chair and Fashion Show commentator wore the silk jacket that she made for the ANWG conference in 1995 which was also in Prince George.

Val Ward made this jacket using woven shibori for the strips of added colour. The "buttons" were grape clusters needle felted by Judy Vos.

The back of the jacket showed Okanagan vineyards and mountains, also done with woven shibori dyeing. They won the award for the Best Interpretation of the Conference Theme.
