There is a farm across the fence from the Anderton Garden and sometimes their chickens come to visit. We found this fellow in the rhododendron bed this morning.

He obviously knows that he can go wherever he wants!

(07:09:2021)
We had some other "large" visitors in the rhodo bed. They aren't as welcome.

(07:09:2021)

This clump of sedum is the only thing still blooming in the rhododendron bed.

(07:09:2021)
But the crabapple nearby is colourful.

(07:09:2021)

There are many things still blooming in the other flower beds.

(07:09:2021)
The dahlias have big pink pompoms.

(07:09:2021)

And huge pink fluff balls! Those blossoms are about eight inches across.

(07:09:2021)
There are also little pink pompoms.

(07:09:2021)

These spider and spoons have some yellow mixed in.

(07:09:2021)
Then there is a whole lot of orange ones.

(07:09:2021)

Some of the orange rose blossoms may be past their best, but they still gleam in the sun.

(07:09:2021)
There are still many red roses.

(07:09:2021)

This delicate pinky-white is a climber.

(07:09:2021)
There are some yellows ones still blooming too.

(07:09:2021)

How about a late season clematis!
