When knitting is finished the first step for a lacy scarf is to wash it and then stretch it out with wires and pins to dry. This is called "blocking." (04:06:2017)

Off the pin board, it is airy and see-through. It's also very soft. The yarn is hand dyed superwash merino by Madeline Tosh in "Chambray" colour. (05:06:2017)
