There was warp left over after weaving my transparency, and being too cheap to throw it away, I looked on my shelves and found a skein of "yarn" made from shredded silk saris. I used that as weft, alternating with a shot of the linen, and was able to weave for about 20 inches. (01:04:2017)

There was not much warp left when I stopped! For weavers who may wonder - I should have used a dowel instead of that flat stick when I was putting on my warp - this stick wanted to flip on its side and bend under tension near the end of the weaving. So much for warping in a hurry! (04:04:2017)

The finished piece of fabric - about 9x20 inches on the loom - 8.5x18 inches after washing and pressing. (06:04:2017)

I lined it with some satin left over from a different project. The finished bag is 8.5x10.5 inches. Of course Shadow had to help with the photo shoot! (08:04:2017)

The bag closure "snaps" closed due to inserting two pieces of an old metal measuring tape into the top band. Credit for teaching me how to use the lining to make flat seams with thick material goes to Daryl Lancaster's sewing class two years ago. (08:04:2017)
