I finished the pink scarf and the gift cowl and looked in my stash for something to knit. I found 1.5 skeins of a soft alpaca and Merino left over from one of Allan's vests.

Of course I forgot to take a picture while knitting this mobius loop. It was on a long circular needle looped around twice so there was one long continuous row!

Pinning out a mobius loop is always tricky - do this, let it dry, and then rearrange so the other side is stretched and dampen it again. With supervision from a cat.

All done. There was no commercial pattern. Round one is K3, YO, k2tog - all the way around. Then purl the next round. Round three is K1, YO, K2 tog, K2. Round 4 is Purl again. This gives you garter stitch when knitting in circles. You start in the centre of the scarf and work to both outside edges at the same time. Keep going until you decide that it's wide enough.

The very long colour changes in this yarn made nice stripes.

Allan thought that Neil the Bear needed to be prepared for company.

This scarf used just a little over a half skein, so I still have almost a full skein left to make more.
