Lace knitting doesn't look like much on the needles. It was even more scrunched than this, as I forgot to take a picture before I started the complicated crochet bind off, so the edge next to the ball of yarn used to be scrunched onto the needle too.
Put knitting anywhere to take a picture and you get help!

Binding off done and washed ready for blocking. Mr. Helper showed up as soon as I started getting out the blocking mats.

I had to close him out of the room so I could run wires into the edges and pin it out.
This pattern is from "New Vintage Lace" by Andrea Jurgrau. She said this one was inspired by a doily in a 1959 magazine.

A few hours later it's all dry. Pins and wires pulled - and Shadow arrived to make himself at home.

Shown off by Neil the Bear. You get all those big holes by doing double yarn overs.
The yarn for this was a skein of superwash Merino and nylon sock yarn that Dan and Janelle gave me for Christmas.
