2016 Amaryllis
February and March

You are supposed to take amaryllis bulbs from their pots in September, put them in a cool spot and then repot them in October for blossoms at Christmas time. These were un-potted in October and replanted in December! But the blossoms are welcome in mid February. These two plants were repotted two weeks apart, but bloomed at the same time anyway.

Each blossom is about six inches across!

This plant has double blossoms that are almost as large as the singles.

Another angle on that blossom.

This single red is smaller, but the colour is intense.

This plant had only two blossoms. There were five more bulbs that didn't bloom this year. Time to revise the strategy.
