Annual flowers have been added to the newly "renovated" flower bed along the east side of the house. They will add some colour when the various lilies aren't blooming.

In the front yard, the climbing yellow rose has started to bloom.

This dainty rose below the Japanese dogwood has it's first blossom.

(10:06:2017)

There are several colours of miniature columbines. They mostly hide beneath the big rhododendron at the front of the house. This blossom is about 3/4 inch across.

The hanging basket of begonias planted two weeks ago is thriving.

(10:06:2017)

The trailing begonias are even starting to "trail."

(10:06:2017)

And this peony has three large blossoms.

(10:06:2017)

The double clematis are starting to open.

(11:06:2017)

Four varieties of clematis share the arch. Three of them bloom together.

(11:06:2017)

Two days later - the same two blossoms are open. The mauve clematis is Proteus. The white one is Henryi.

(13:06:2017)

The white ones are pretty too.

(16:06:2017)

This is the first blossom on a Jacob's Coat climbing rose that we purchased last year.

(16:06:2017)

We don't know the name of this rose as we "inherited" it from the previous owners. The blossoms are about two inches across.

(16:06:2017)

There will soon be Tumbler tomatoes on the back deck.

(18:06:2017)

One of the front yard peonies has seven blossoms at once!

(20:06:2017)

Here's a closer look at one of them.
