Flowers

These tulips are very short - almost blooming at ground level. Their blossoms were wide open in the morning sun, but will close later in the day.

These are Fritillaria meleagris or chocolate lilies.

The white ones are Fritillaria meleagris alba. Wikipedia says that fritillaries come from the Himalayas.

The hyacinths are still blooming all over the yard.

We also have several clumps of "grape" hyacinths.

The big rhododendron by the front door is starting to bloom. This is one of the few blossoms that is fully open but it is covered in buds that about to burst into bloom.
