Which led to more Flowers
August 17th and 18th

We had a whole hedge of canna lilies in Kelowna. This one seems kind of lonely. So far the deer don't seem to like cannas.

The "Rose of Sharon" (hibiscus syriacus) is in full bloom. The bees love it!

We have only a few dahlias - this was the first one to bloom.

More dahlias. These blossoms are about half the size of the one above.

The "Black Eyed Susans" (Rudbeckia hirta) will bloom from now to freeze up.

Tall snap dragons in many colours seed themselves in our flower beds.

One more large dahlia that we found hiding behind the bamboo next the street.

And these don't include the hanging baskets and things blooming in the back yard!
