Summer Leaves

It's been so hot that Sheila's been skipping out on long walks. Today it cooled off enough that her guilty conscience got her out the door.

She's been taking pictures of the fall leaves in the greenway near the local elementary school (about a block from home) every year since we moved here - and all of them were taken in OCTOBER!

Usually they are bright yellow and leathery when they fall - these are crunchy and brown.

A good percentage of the leaves on this tree have dried up. The spit of rain that came with the cooler weather amounted to about 0.5 mm.
