The baby Siskins are getting quite tame.

Just beyond the bird feeders, the bronze maple is in bloom.

(25:04:2018)
At the front of the house, our large red rhododendron and Wedding Veil spirea are in bloom.

(26:04:2019)

This little azalea is only about a foot high, but is covered in blossoms.

(26:04:2019)
All over the yard tulips planted by the former owners pop up. Those that are out in the open have to be covered with wire cages to keep the deer from eating them.

(26:04:2019)

These red ones are protected by the Japanese maple, which is apparently not deer food.

(26:04:2019)
On the arch in the front yard, the early clematis is in bloom. There are three more varieties to come.

(26:04:2019)

At the bottom of the arch, two kinds of Candy Tuft are blooming.

(26:04:2019)
There are at least five clumps of grape hyacinths trying to take over the flower beds.

(26:04:2019)

There are also numerous clumps of bluebells. They are fairly easy to keep "weeded" into the areas where we want them.

(26:04:2019)
Our cherry tree is usually the last in the neighbourhood to bloom. This year they all bloomed at once.

(26:04:2019)

A closer look at those cherry blossoms before they all end up on the neighbour's lawn! "As usual" there were gusty winds the next day and it has been "snowing" petals.

(26:04:2019)
In the back forest, one of two native trilliums is in bloom.

(27:04:2019)

Nearby a bleeding heart that we planted about three years ago is thriving.

How we look from across the street.
