Snow Daze - 2019
February 10th to 11th

Snow here usually sifts gently straight down - this was horizontal, driven by strong cold winds.

Snow accumulated in the back yard trees by 2 PM.

By 5 PM Sheila's truck was well covered.

But Allan made short work of the snow on the driveway. About six inches had fallen by then.

The rain gauge isn't much use when it comes to measuring snow. But there was enough snow that the schools and colleges are closed today.

Meanwhile, indoors, our azalea plant has it's first blossom of the season.

This looks blue because it was taken in the early morning light before more snow-blowing and shovelling.
