Fall is arriving - even if it's too warm.

The very last blossoms - there are no more buds on the rose beside the kitchen deck.

The climbing rose at the other end of the deck - hiding behind the foggy glass.

The bronze maple tree hasn't started to change colour yet.

This is a house plant - Fittonia, Red veined Nerve Plant, or Mosaic Plant. It's about three years old.

It has apparently become pot bound and decided to bloom! This is not the blossom, but a bract which should soon have a tiny white blossom at the top. There are three of these on the plant. Who knew??

Wait a week - and there are tiny blossoms, one at a time for part of a day.
