Last spring when we had the Cherry tree in the front yard pruned, one limb was in question as to how it would look.
Well this morning it was taken out!
The tree looks 'more balanced' (which of course my picture doesn't show!) now and it definitely opens air space for the ghost maple to grow into!

Meantime - in the back yard - we have cherry tomatoes to eat now!

(24:08:2023)

There is one last blossom on the orchid cactus.

(24:08:2023)
And the Empire apples are starting to show colour.

Now if the raccoons would stop knocking them off!

(24:08:2023)

Most of the hydrangea blossoms have become "dried flowers" but there are still a few new ones.

(27:08:2023)
The volunteer snapdragons provide spots of colour.

(27:08:2023)

This calla lily will go in the ground later in the fall.

(27:08:2023)
The lace hydrangea blossoms have gone from blue in the centre with mauve bracts, to just the bracts - now pink - remaining.

(27:08:2023)

A few Martha Washington geraniums have been providing colour around the yard all season.

(27:08:2023)
The late clematis blossoms have turned to fluff!

(27:08:2023)

One more hot cocoa rose.

(27:08:2023)
There are four big cucumbers hiding in those leaves.

(27:08:2023)

Some of the plants in this hanging pot are blooming again.

(27:08:2023)
We've eaten a few strawberries and soon there will be more.

(27:08:2023)

There will be more ripe tomatoes soon too.
