Open the gate in that fence, and you come to the raised bed which has asparagus, garlic, peas, lettuce, and soon some tomato plants.

Turn around and look from the front of the garage towards the street.

Looking from the street back to the house. The green fence is to keep deer out of the lilies.

Looking along the front edge of the yard by the street.

Now we're looking at the middle of the yard, from near the front door out to the flower beds and the Japanese dogwood

The middle flower bed from the street side - Ghost Maple and roses. The big flowering cherry in the background has lost all of its blossoms.

There are lots of things growing along the front of the house.

The east side of the house has a bed with several kinds of lilies and our rhubarb patch.

At the back of the house a tall Pieris grows up to the top of the back deck. Espaliated apple trees grow along the back of the house and a Gravenstein apple is in the middle of the yard.

The front edge of our "forest" has some rhododendrons, a big hosta, and a bird bath.

More forest and our garden shed.

There is a peony at the back door to the workshop, beside the apple trees.

No - the upper deck isn't falling off - Sheila can't hold the camera straight! You can see the climbing rose, with most of its growth at the top, beside the Pieris.

Go around the corner and look up the steps along the west side of the house. Last year we had this slope graded and covered with mulch. Just a few things are planted there.

|
The hand rail makes climbing the stairs a lot easier with wobbly knees and ankles.
(24:05:2023)
|
|
|
At the top of the steps, a small garden bed beside the heat pump has more lettuce and several herbs. And you are back to the rasied bed we started with!
