More Spring flowers
May 22nd to 25th

The rhododendron near our back yard bird bath has only five blossoms this year! These are not quite fully open.

Nearby we found a new plant. Google says it's Star Flower - a native plant that grows on the west coast from southern BC to California. It doesn't look like a weed, so it's welcome in our "forest."

The small azalea we planted in the back yard has a few blossoms this year, so it may survive.

At the corner of the patio, an allium is blooming.

And further up the slope, two more have popped up. All will get larger than they are now.

The parsley and chives beside the back patio are doing well this year.

Wait a couple of days and the blossoms on that rhodo have now finished opening.

The irises are starting to bloom!

Back out front - the Japanese Dogwood is starting to show its coloured bracts.
