Becoming Summer

The Siberian irises are starting to bloom.

The Bridal Veil Spirea, which was very overgrown, has been cut back to ground level.

Now do we let it grow back up - or dig out the root and plant something else?

On the back deck - the Red Profusion tomato is getting bigger.

The two pots with gladiolas (just peeking up!) and Amaranthus have each had a couple of trailing plants added. Now it the Amaranthus will just get as tall as they are supposed to!

And we've planted some fibrous begonias for summer colour when the perennials are done.

A second clematis on the front yard arch is in bloom now! Almost missed it as they are up high and hidden from the house.
