Looking west-ish - stairway wall and railing. The Christmas cards are going away soon anyway.

Looking east - fireplace wall, and lots of bookcases to move.

(20:01:2025)
Looking south - not much wall, but it divides the living room and dining room. There is a LOT of wiring hiding behind the TV.

(20:01:2025)

Looking north - front door and living room window. There's a baseboard that needs fixed here where the baseboard heater was taken out years ago.

(20:01:2025)
The hallway to the bedrooms will be included in painting the living room.

West again - A bit of wall at the end of the hall closet.

(20:01:2025)

The stairway to the basement will be done. The right hand side will be dark red and the left will be the same as the rest of the house.

No matter what it looks like here - there are no gray stripes on the walls.

When we put in the Heat Pump, the electric baseboard heaters were removed this is where the living room one was.

At the time the holes in the wall were filled and sanded, BUT the casing used as baseboard was not replaced.

Turns out that wherever they got the casing it was not 'modern'. The profile of new casing is correct, but it is about 1/32nd of an inch smaller, making the place where the patch butts against the existing a problem.

On to the next room!

The dining room has two short places that need repair. At one time there was a fireplace in the center of the wall, with separate electric heaters on each side. This was well before our time, and only figured out when we had a couple of basement windows installed when we moved in. The siding was pulled back and you could see the patch work that had been done.

Having done some of the work on this repair I'm thinking it should be left until such time as we have to move the china cabinet and replace the whole side then.

This was after a couple of hours sorting out which wire went where!

Making sure to never have two wires disconnected at any point.
(23:01:2025)

Every thing moved away from the walls, and ready for the painter

The mess of wire in the corner is covered up with a door mat for protection.

The book case in back holds some where close to 1000 CD's as well as the main stereo that feeds the whole house.
