Allan had an appointment with a plastic surgeon to have his left ear "looked at" - first a consult, then back to have a hole that hasn't been healing excised and stitched.
Turns out the doctors office is in a building right on the water front.

While Allan was in being poked at, Sheila made like a tourist along the water front.
This carved figure is not far from the ferry terminal. There was no sign to explain it or say who the artist was.

This map shows a walking/cycling route that goes for 28 km around Campbell River! Sheila saw about half a kilometre of it.
Another sign notified walkers that if they felt an earthquake big enough that it was hard to stand, that as soon as shaking stopped they should head to higher ground as that area would be flooded if the hydro damn upstream of the city broke!

All over the downtown there are signs telling about historic buildings and businesses. The Bee Hive cafe is still there.
