We just missed the 11:30 ferry so had an hour to enjoy the scenery at the Campbell River marina.

There was a sea star on the rocks below us.

(26:07:2019)
And for a while there was a seal watching the people on the floats below. No, he's not in the picture.

Getting close to Quadra Island

(26:07:2019)

Sheila, Laura and Doug went up to see the view!

(26:07:2019)
We had lunch at the Tsa Kwa Luten Resort at Cape Mudge. It looks like it would be a lovely place to spend a few days.

The restaurant looked out over the water and some interesting trees.

(26:07:2019)
Then we visited the Nuyumbalees Cultural Centre and Cape Mudge Village.

The cultural centre has a collection of Potlatch items that were taken away in the 1920's and returned in the 1970's. Some items are still being repatriated. However, no photos are allowed inside.

A welcome pole at the Quadra ferry dock.

And another pole as you enter the BC Ferries building.

As usual, we didn't take any pictures of people, so you'll just have to trust us that our friends were there!
