The rhododendron by the front door is in full bloom now.

And the day lilies at the east side of the house are growing like mad.

In the back yard the raised bed has received red plastic "mulch", ready for planting tomatoes.

|
At the other side of the raised bed, onions have been planted. The large ones are multipliers leftover from last year.

If you look closely, there are several tiny Walla Wallas. Never tried them before, not sure how they will work as they like lots of sun.

The other end of the bed has green (multiplier) onions planted today. These seem to do well in this space.

|
The upper raised bed has red mulch too, and some lettuce has been transplanted from the nursery in Allan's workshop. Beside the mulch is a row of garlic.

Across the sidewalk, under the espaliered apple trees, there are bluebells and tulips in bloom.

Up on the back deck, lettuce and herbs are getting started.

|
And this pot of lettuce had some harvested for lunch today!
