This maidenhair fern is 38 years old this year. Allan's sister Edna gave it to us in 1981. She passed away in 1983 and we've kept it ever since. It was attacked by scale insects recently, so we took it out of the pot, washed off all of the soil and repotted it, cutting off almost all of the top. I should have taken a picture then. This has all come up in the past two weeks - I think it's happy!

Remember the lemon tree with three lemons? - Scroll back to April to check it out - The last lemon was removed when I brought it indoors at the end of September and it has burst into bloom.

The ghost maple has turned pink. Notice the dahlias still blooming beside it.

A view of the front yard from across the street. The flowering cherry still has some green leaves, but is already losing lots of the yellow ones.

In the back yard - you wouldn't believe that we've already cleared the grass of maple leaves twice!

One of those BIG leaves with a "normal" leaf! It's about 16 inches across!

(23:10:2019)
The potted fuchsias are still blooming too.

After an overnight wind, the front yard is covered in cherry leaves.

(25:10:2019)
