Vegetable Gardening Started April 11th to 21th

The cherry tree is a little early this year - full bloom today - probably petals all over by tomorrow!

The start of this years lettuce is now in production on the back deck.

These are buds on a Bronze Maple tree about 6 feet off our back deck.

The rhododendron by the front door is fully out now, and the bridal veil spirea beside is blooming too.

The tomatoes were seeded with three or four seeds per pot. The extra's have now been removed and some of them repotted. They are now spending their day in the outdoor greenhouse.

The dahlias that were potted back in March are getting tall. They will be ready to go outside as soon as the weather is a little warmer.
The plant with red leaves is a leftover Christmas poinsettia - it will go outside to be greenery for the summer.

In the upper raised be the garlic is growing and potatoes with sprouts have been planted in the big holes. The soil will be put back as they grow.

In the front yard wire rings have been put back in place to protect lily sprouts and tulips from the local deer.
