In the front yard, the Crocosmia is blooming. The blossoms look like butterflies!

And beside it, the hydrangea is in full bloom. Notice the purple and pink blossoms hiding among the blue.

(14:07:2020)
There are three pink blossoms hiding at the back of the plant.

(14:07:2020)

Across the yard, the lace hydrangea is starting to bloom.

(14:07:2020)
Our annual poppies have not done well this year, but there is ONE large red single. The doubles are all tiny - probably due to lack of fertilizer.

(14:07:2020)

Now for some day lilies. In addition to the two that were blooming last week, now there is a clump of this pink/orange.

(14:07:2020)
Mixed in with it is a dark red.

(14:07:2020)

Along the east side of the house is a big patch of these orange day lilies.

(14:07:2020)
And a newer clump of this curly pink.

(14:07:2020)

The borage patch is growing.

This basket hangs from the corner of our back deck and enjoys one of the few sunny spots in our back yard.

(14:07:2020)

The new flower bed at the edge of the back grass has small plants just put in last week. They seem to be growing happily.

(14:07:2020)
The begonia basket at the front is burgeoning with blossoms too.

(14:07:2020)
We have a new rose - planted beside the back patio. Here is one of it's first three buds!

(17:07:2020)
"Red Hot Poker" plant (aka Torch Lily or Kniphofia uvaria) also comes in yellow.

(17:07:2020)
And here it is in the original red.

(17:07:2020)
Our entire 2020 cherry crop!

Which is two more than last year. Our little cherry tree was planted in 2018 and promptly browsed by a deer. Last year it stayed as just a stick and we were going to replace it this spring. It must have heard us - it produced blossoms this year, and is starting to form branches.

(19:07:2020)
We repotted our small ancient redwood tree. It has grown about 18 inches since April!
