More Yard things April 20th to 28th

This picture was actually taken to show the bare ground around the day lily! It was previously covered by one colour of day lily and one very stubborn fern. Now we have room to plant other things.

In the back trees we have just two trillium plants. This is the larger one.

This smaller one showed up last year. When they finish blooming we mark their locations with small wire "deer cages" so we don't walk on them or accidentally dig them up.

Not far away a white bleeding heart is in bloom.

In the front yard the ornamental cherry tree still has most of its blossoms although wind on the 28th has turned the driveway pink.

Back in the back yard - the small Lapin cherry tree has bloomed. Now if it will just grow some more branches. It was damaged by deer just after being planted and has never fully recovered.

Here's is what happens when there's a breeze and drizzle when the ornamental cherry is in bloom. With more wind there will be drifts!
