Replacement of bedroom carpet
February 3rd to 10th

Here is the master bedroom with the old carpet. Two dressers that sit to the right and some items from the headboard have already been removed.

The master bedroom closet with all of the clothes from the lower rods and anything long removed so the installers can get to the floor.

The contents of the master bedroom went to the spare bedroom.

The king-size mattress just about filled the hallway.

The cats were sufficiently unimpressed with all of the activity that they huddled up together on the top of the "cat tree" in the basement. They don't generally share this space.

Fast forward about five hours - the carpet is in, and everything is back in place! Shadow gives his approval.

Even the clothing is back in the closet.

Day Two

The following morning the spare bedroom was emptied into the master bedroom.

All the "stuff" stored on the bottom of the closet is gone too.

Everything is squeezed into the master bedroom except the mattress, which is in the hall. At least it wasn't as large.

The installers arrived just after 11:30 and by 1 PM the new carpet was in place.

Day Three

As soon as the spare bedroom was put back together, the contents of Allan's office started moving in. by mid morning it was getting full.

And not long after the two tables and the floor mat filled up the remaining space.

That left the office empty.

There was time to patch some holes in the walls and scope out the space for a possible extension of the shelves.

The router, phone and PCR boxes remained behind, but had to stay off the floor.

The installers came about noon and again were all finished in about an hour and a half.

By 5 PM the tables and floor mat were back in place and the Mac was up and running.

No rest for the wicked! By 8:30 PM three more monitors and the printer had moved back in.

But there was still a lot left in the bedroom.

Day Four

By lunch time the first PC was back and there had been some rearranging to make room for the other two monitors.

3:30 PM - a corner shelf has been added between the tables and the internal web site is back up.

But there is still one more PC and all of the Raspberry Pi's to add to the collection.

Day Five

Shelving is all back, and hopefully every little part is some where close to where it was before the great upheaval.

Spare bedroom is now clear of stuff, neatly back to serviceable.

Even Shadow's favourite pillow is in place.
