Planting time and more spring flowers April 23rd

Lettuce and more herbs have been set out in the new bed. The tulip is a bonus.

The raised bed nearby has more lettuce and two of Steve's tomato plants. The asparagus and peas are just starting to sprout.

In the front yard, the Forget-me-not's are blooming. They are a bit of a weed.

The clumping primula is in full bloom.

There are grape hyacinths everywhere - they have also become a weed!

The rhododendron survived last summer's heat, the winter and spring snow and is in full bloom.

The Bridal Veil spirea beside it is just starting to bloom.

A couple of tulips have come up in the middle of the fritillaria patch.

The Hellebores that have been blooming since January are still going strong.

The scrawny cherry tree in the back yard has flowers all over. It's trying yard to avoid being cut down. Now if we have some bees....

There is not supposed to be anything growing here beside the compost bin, but the rhubarb and tulips didn't get the message.

The blue (and white) bells in the warm spot at the back of the house are blooming like the weeds they are.
