Several years ago we planted some "black" ornamental grass. It didn't do well where it was and last summer we moved it. We didn't know it would bloom!

So far it's only about six inches tall, but now has several blossoms.

Meantime - the yucca blossom stems are now VERY tall and the blossoms are starting to open.

Another look at the lily that started to bloom a couple of days ago.

This daylily has a record number of blossoms open at the same time.

The Hot Cocoa blossoms have been hiding - wish we had found them a few days earlier!

This year's apple crop! At the minute it's about the size of a cherry tomato.

A tiny dragon fly visited the crocosmia outside the living room window this morning.

Another lily is starting to bloom in the bed beside the driveway.

This one is hiding beside the tall black lily by the back patio.

We have two of these - this one is in a bed right beside the street. The other is in the bed by the driveway, close to the darker pink one above.

This one is between the Neptune rose and the bicolour daylily further up on this page. It has survived (so far) with no deer protection.

This is short lily that comes up under the Hansa rose bush. Inherited from the former owners and never moved to a better location.
