This is a perennial that we bought a couple of years ago to provide blossoms after the lilies have finished. It's a variety of Alstroemeria Initicancha - or Peruvian lily! And it's supposed to bloom in August.

The lettuce in the raised beds has started to bolt in the heat, so today Allan planted some new starts.

This small planter used to live on the back deck, but was hard to keep watered. Now it's been moved beside the raised bed where it can be reached with the irrigation line.

The lilies near the raised bed are all in bloom at once!

The "herb bed" includes some nice poppies, but they are going to be declared weeds as soon as they finish blooming.

The lily bed by the driveway has many colours at the minute - including a Martha Washington geranium peeking out at the bottom.

The yucca near the street is finally blooming! Ours is later than all of the neighbours'.
