The village is in place on the fireplace. There is no room for new buildings but it gets rearranged each year.
Stockings are hung and the collection of poinsettias have found their place.

The tree is finally up. If it looks familiar that's because it's the same tree we've used for several years now and the decorations are mostly antiques.
Some of the balls date to our first tree in 1967, and many are gifts from friends and family over the years.

The Teddy bear card (a gift from Sheila's Aunt Jessie) and an ornament made from a tin can lid by her Dad are 75 years old this year.

This year we sent out 37 paper copies of our annual newsletter, and 41 e-letters. This is the first time that the number of emails exceeded paper letters.

Making Allan's Mom's fav ice-cream. Candy Cane! This is the second batch of ice-cream today, the first was a Maple Walnut with real Quebec Maple sirup. One cup whole milk, two cups whipping cream, 3/4 cup sugar - How can you go wrong.

You would hardly believe it is the first day of winter here. These look like Snow Drops BUT as far as we know there were never any planted here or any dirt transported from the back yard were there a millions of them. Normally there would be two feet of snow covering this bed by now because this is where the snow blower put the snow from the driveway. On the other hand they could be blue bells as they are a weed in the front yard.
