It's not unusual for the hellebores to start blooming by the end of January. Ours are in the shade and are actually later than some of our neighbours. It looks like we will have blossoms soon.

This is one of the larger patches of snow drops in the back yard. They've been known to come up through the snow, and will not be damaged if February brings back "winter."
