July 31st and the lilies are turned free to (not?) be foraged on by roaming deer! We haven't taken any damage in other beds that have not been fenced in so let's give it a try.

With much effort - the potted Japanese maple was moved from under the dogwood tree to a new spot where it is more visible, under the cherry tree. It is in a BIG heavy tub.

There is still a clump of "regular" poppies blooming. They are taking up space in our new bed of gladiolas.

The glads have finally started to bloom. They grew from tiny little corms.
