Up close to that big blossom.

(05:06:2024)

Blossoms on the Angel Face rose seem to have been damaged - either by bugs or rain.

(03:06:2024)
There are lots of irises now.

(03:06:2024)

The back yard peonies are ahead because they are in a sunny spot.

(03:06:2024)

Here's one of the blossoms.

(05:06:2024)
This rhododendron in the back yard is in full bloom this week.

(03:06:2024)

We put some potatoes that had sprouted into the old compost bin. Looks like it worked!

(03:06:2024)
Well it was an apple tree! But where it was planted caused its demise in two ways. First it was planted in heavy clay which caused it to literally be drowned and second, our back yard evergreen trees have grown so big there is not enough sunlight to cause any apple blossoms.

(03:06:2024)

One of the few sunny spots is our back deck, so here we have two pots each planted with a dahlia, some gladiolas and a couple of begonias.

(05:06:2024)
Our newly expanded flower beds already have a new rose, planted today close to the ghost maple.

(05:06:2024)

This climbing rose beside the arch in the front yard has also started to bloom.

(05:06:2024)

The first strawberries of the year!

(05:06:2024)

Dainty yellow alliums grow in three places in our yard.

(08:06:2024)
There are more white peonies blooming now.

(08:06:2024)

The pink ones will be open any day.

(08:06:2024)
The first blossom on our new rose. It's a floribunda called Forever Amber.

(08:06:2024)

On the sunny side of the house a tiger lily is starting to bloom.

(08:06:2024)
These orange lilies are a short variety with many blossoms.

(08:06:2024)

Both pink and orange are blooming in this patch of dwarf lilies.

(08:06:2024)
The climbing Joseph's coat rose beside the back deck now has many blossoms.

(08:06:2024)

And the peonies beside the workshop door are fully in bloom.
