After the Wind Storm November 4th

We had a doozy of an overnight wind and rain storm, then the sun came out! Amazing that the cherry tree and dogwood still have at least half of their leaves!

In the back yard, the Big Leaf Maples are now bare.

The Japanese maple in the front yard is starting to turn yellow.

Wait a few days and the cherry tree is starting to drop leaves when there's no wind. The dogwood has turned red too.

The bracts on the lace hydrangea have turned dark purple!

The ghost maple is yellow now too.

This Japanese maple is purple all summer - now it's bright red.

The leaves are falling now without wind to blow them away.

In three days the Japanese maple has gone from mostly green to mostly yellow with red spots.
