A long term spinning and knitting project has been completed!

There was still about six yards of warp on the loom when I finished the exchange runner, so weaving continued with two more table runners and some place mats.

For Christmas 2013 our grandson Dan gave me a skein of hand dyed yarn made from baby alpaca, silk and cashmere. Think as soft as you can imagine! I started knitting in July but just finished it October 19th.

Here it is being shown off by my favourite model. The close-up at the right is closer to the actual colour.

The pattern, called Skeleton Scarf, comes from a book titled Arctic Lace. It was inspired by the painting of a skeleton on a wooden spoon by the Yup'ik people of Alaska.

After about eight months of on and off knitting - a new lacy scarf - a Mobius loop knit round and round from the center out. The yarn is hand dyed baby alpaca.

This project is a hold over from 2014 that wasn't finished until 2015. These are items received in an exchange with members of the Guild of Canadian Weavers.
